Blacklion Tire Treads on Asphalt

Blacklion Tires Review 2022

Tire shopping can be far from fun for many of us.  While it is a necessity to have reasonable tires in order to protect you from a potential accident, people still don’t have to like it.  Today, we’re going to help you out a little bit by breaking down Blacklion Tires, an option that exists for you if you find yourself a little short on cash at the moment.

Blacklion Tire Background & Company Information

Blacklion Tires are by no means a household name in the tire industry, but that does not make them the smallish fish in the pond, either.  In fact, the company sells tires to more than 40 countries in the world.  That’s a very big number, and it illustrates that they are not just a brand new brand that has burst onto the scene.  Located out of China, the brand has been around a while and utilizes up-to-date facilities and an engineering team that is spread out all over the globe.

A major part of the appeal of their brand is the fact that they do look very nice.  Usually, you will see a lower cost brand doing very little to please you aesthetically, so it’s extremely nice to see this being a big part of their brand.  Perhaps one of the best bits of news about them is that they offer multiple types of tires.

They have the ‘ordinary’ road tires for cars, trucks, and SUV’s and they also sell tires for big rig trucks as well.  It’s not usual to see this sort of thing, as you usually get one or another (or off shoot brands), so that could be viewed as a positive by you.

Blacklion Tire Cost and Pricing

The obvious reason that you’re likely considering going with Blacklion Tires is going to be the price at which they are being sold.  The price is relatively low, quite low, in fact, compared to others out there, and that is a big part of the appeal that Chinese tires have.  There are a few reasons why tires from China can be cheaper than those made elsewhere.

For one, workers don’t make nearly as large of a wage and they don’t have the same kind of benefits that they would receive in other nations.  Cooperation between the state and the corporate sector is another thing that helps, as many Chinese tire companies have popped up in recent years.  Quality is another part of the mix, as many just don’t feel like they are going the ‘full route,’ essentially taking short cuts in order to bring you a lower than usual price.

At any rate, you’ll find pricing to be very affordable, so if that is your main thing, you may like what you see.  Lastly, keep in mind that these prices are relative.  The passenger vehicle tires are almost always going to be cheaper than the tires for big trucks due to their size and usage.

Blacklion Tire Warranty

Some Chinese companies, many in fact, offer no warranty at all, so it is very nice to see that Blacklion does actually offer you one.  For their passenger vehicle line, this warranty is good for up to five years.  The number of miles and months does very a bit in terms of tread life protection, but they do all have a basic warranty that is attached.

This should be seen as a massive positive for you.  It gives you something to fall back on in the event that something tears up well before it should.  For the ‘TBR’ tires, you get a much more complicated warranty.  Still yet, there is one available, and that is something you’ll be pleased with.

You’ll need to make sure to look over any warranty program thoroughly, as all of them are ‘limited’ in their capacity.  Sometimes you will be asked to pay a small fee as opposed to being totally recouped your money.

Blacklion Tire Options

As far as options go, there are more potential choices for you to go with if you are looking for tires for big rigs than there are for normal old road cars.  However, neither category is overrun by too many possible picks, so we see that as being a big plus to be thankful for.  Within their passenger vehicle lineup, you have several choices to go with.

You can find yourself going with a super high performance set, or you can go with one that is great on all sorts of terrains and in any season as well.  Those kinds of tires are not easy to find, especially coming out of China, so that might be just what you need.  In terms of the TBR tires, you see a lot of choices as well.

You’re able to find them for both local, regional, and long hauls, as well as options for all the various positions of the truck.

Blacklion Tire Technologies and Features

Chinese companies and technology is very tough to nail down.  Regardless of how good the reviews are, they all claim to have the latest and greatest technology and the best engineers working with them.  While many companies cannot truly back this up, you can feel more confident with Blacklion.

While we do not see them as being the best out of China, they are right up there in contention and have some obvious tech that is being used.  As far as features go, we really have to harp on the fact that they look extremely nice.  It’s not every day that you see relatively low priced tires that look this nice, so it’s worth pointing out for you.

Blacklion Tire Durability

Many people will instantly write off any tire that comes from China, but we don’t find that to be very helpful to anyone.  Durability and quality go hand in hand, and as far as that goes, Blacklion is up toward the top of tires from China.  We would put them below Linglong, for example, but they are far better than many that come from the country and just do not do as well as they claim or put off to do.

Some will just say no, but we feel that if you can accept a reasonable to possibly below average lifespan, then you’ll be getting plenty of value given the low price you paid in the beginning.

Summary & Final Recommendations

The words ‘China’ and ‘tires’ might not go very well together for you, but we don’t believe that it should put you off too much in this case.  The durability of Blacklion Tires is very decent, though not great, as is the quality.  This brand has done a good job over the years, and for the price they sell at, we find it tough to nitpick them too harshly.  For what you pay, you are going to get a decent product.  And that’s really all you can ask for.
