With seemingly millions of tire companies to turn to, buying tires can be a very confusing and overwhelming prospect. Part of that is due to just not having enough knowledge about a particular brand. Today, we are going to make sure that you have a lot more on Lanvigator tires, as our review will give you all sorts of information in your quest for knowledge.
Lanvigator Tire Company Background & Information
One of the very first questions, rightfully asked when talking about tires has to be about the type of tire it is. Some folks are going to be shopping for specialty stuff, but on the whole of it, most people are after tires for their cars. Ordinary ‘passenger’ car tires represent the majority of the market, and that is the niche that Lanvigator is looking to serve.
Most of their tires are built for cars, but some of them can be used on SUVs or light, normal trucks, so that gives you a bit of wiggle room. In terms of the company, they are fairly new to the game, having only started their operations in 2011 with a huge facility in China being built. It looks like there may be more than just this coming out of the plant, but it’s a little bit difficult to tell.
This recent business move should not be surprising given the move to more capitalistic means in China in recent years. While it may not be a huge factor for you to look at, it is nice to know and point out that Lanvigator tires are known for having exquisite looks. That takes some doing, obviously, so this is an area where the company has definitely invested some time, money, and effort into.
Lanvigator Tire Cost and Pricing
A major benefit that comes with buying tires from the Chinese market is going to be the fact that they are almost always going to be cheaper than elsewhere. This is because the labor force is cheaper there, therefore, driving down the costs considerably. Even if you factor in shipping and those kinds of costs, most people still find themselves paying less than they would for another brand’s tires.
This is good news for you if you are on a budget, of course. However, it can be a bit harrowing to some, as you just are a little bit unsure and are not bound to get the best customer service due to the language barrier and other factors. You get what you pay for, and while we are not saying you won’t get a decent set of tires, it’s also not a guarantee.
Especially for that price. Some tires can be half as cheap coming from China, but if you do any research at all online, they almost always come with people stating “buyer beware.” Some of this has to do with bias, sure, but part of it has to be true, so you do need to balance this with your expectations.
Lanvigator Tire Warranty
Though you do get a lower price on the whole from Lanvigator, you also have to factor in the fact that the warranty of tire lifespan offered is far from the best. We can say so due to the fact that we haven’t been able to find any information on one. This is not to say that they definitely do not offer one, but it remains to be seen just what it pertains if they indeed do have one.
This is a worrying thing for many people. You want to know that you have some backup in the event that you treat your tires just right and still have a problem. However, this brand hasn’t done an especially good job at making it implicitly clear on what exactly is covered or anything of the sort. The best way to get info is to try and ask the dealer that is selling them to you, or to go straight to the proverbial horse’s mouth.
Tire Options
In addition to making tires that are really attractive to look at and make you want to put them on your car, Lanvigator also is able to provide you with a range of options for you to drive in. Depending on the style of driver you are and the car that you have, you have some choices to make. You can go for pure comfort, for example, or you can seek out a set of tires that pushes the limits and will be for pure performance.
To go a step beyond, they have even developed tires, one set at least, that are best served for the winter environment. This is a huge savior to anyone living in the cold, harsh conditions that tires don’t typically hold up so well in if they are ‘normal’ tires. They also offer a plethora of sizes, allowing just about anyone to find the perfect fit for their car to make sure they are covered.
They do not offer a ton of options, but they offer enough to make you happy. We like this fact, as it shows they are not spreading their resources too thin as a fairly new company. If they had triple the number of choices, you would rightly be a bit concerned as they would just have too much going on. But as it stands, they have a reasonable amount that blends accuracy with also allowing the consumer to have choices.
Lanvigator Tire Technologies and Features
Despite the fact that Lanvigator is fairly cheap compared to some others, they actually have done a decent job at pushing boundaries. Again, they are no Goodyear in terms of doing this, but they have at least put some time and money into research and development purposes in order to take the tires and make them perform better and last longer.
One feature we really love is that all of them just look nice. So many tires out of China have a uniform, boring look to them. They don’t stick out or ‘pop’ at all, causing you to question if you want to pick them or not. In fact, tires from all over the world can be like this at times. Rather than going for something boring, they have at least made an attractive looking tire for you to go with.
With technology and machinery from Germany, Italy, and Japan in their plant, too, you can count on them using up-to-date methods to process them. They may not be up to par, yet, with more well known and recognizable brands, but they are making strides and are not just writing this stuff off or overlooking it completely.
Lanvigator Tire Durability
Buying tires, as we know can be tough, and part of that is trying to judge how much durability you are going to get out of them and how long the average tire lasts. No one, and we mean no one, likes to purchase a set of tires only to find out that they are only going to work for a short period of time. With Lanvigator, you do have the luxury of having cheaper priced tires at your fingertips.
But you also have to believe they will have a below average to possibly average lifespan as well. Some folks will pay a little bit more money for more of a sure fire thing, and you can’t really blame them for that. Let’s say you do buy a set of tires for half of what a more well known brand is. If you say, get a quarter or a third of the tire durability from them, are you really getting a deal? Not at all.
You do see it up front, but the fact that you have to buy more later on is a troubling thought. So, you do need to keep in mind that it’s a case of being aware and vigilant as a buyer here. Chinese tires, like any tires, can be good, but they also have the capability of coming up well short of the job being asked of them. So be mindful and don’t assume Lanvigator will last a supremely long time in most cases.
Summary & Final Recommendations
If you are looking to save a few bucks and you also want a set of tires that will pop and stand out, then look no further. There are a few issues with Lanvigator tires that we can see from the outset, but they are still far from the worst out there. If you can overlook the limitations of them, then you might just find yourself extremely happy with the choice that you have made!
