With over 12,000 employees dispersed worldwide, they have facilities that operate both in China and in Thailand as well. The Thai plant has been up and running since 2013, helping put them over the top of having made 50 million plus sets of tires now. They even have a base in the United States, too, using it to help do design and technical support. The company has been around about 45 years now, so this is not one of those fly by night Chinese brands that have suddenly emerged in recent years.
If you have looked at the catalog of tires they offer, you will see that they have a few brands under their umbrella. These brands have slightly different designs and intentions, but at the end of the day they still come from Linglong.
LingLong Tire Cost and Pricing
One of the reasons someone would want to possibly consider a set of tires from China is pretty simple: the price. In general, the price of a set of tires is going to be much cheaper on the whole when it comes from China than not. Even if you take a company that is based elsewhere and has operations in China, it is still usually cheaper to get an “all-Chinese” set.
This is just the way it goes. With Linglong and their various brands, you do see a lot of very good and competitive pricing coming. This is despite them being around a long time and having a lot of facilities running. This is, obviously, great news for you, as you can find a pretty good set of quality tires without a ton of cost. Some people have their reservations on Chinese tires, and they might be right in that assessment, but these are among the safest and best to turn to if you are going to do so.

Unfortunately, one thing we will have to knock Linglong a bit on is with the warranties. It is not because they don’t exist, because they may, but it is because it is hard to find any information on it. They have a great, very helpful website, and that helps a lot, but it is hard to pinpoint anything on a warranty of any kind. It is very rare to see no warranty offered at all, mind you, and we believe there is one, but you are going to have to do some hunting and asking for yourself to find out. Don’t expect it to be among the best, but we imagine it won’t be the worst, either.
Tire Options
A look at the list of models below will reveal to you that Linglong and their associated brands offer a ton of potential choices for you. Whether you are in the market for a set of tires on your passenger car, or you are equipping a fleet of tractor trailer trucks, they have you covered. They also have those various aforementioned brands, too, to help you get exactly what you want.
Maybe you have a sports car and want a very specific tire. They may have three options in your size, but they all offer something a little bit different. That should be seen as a good thing, as long as it does not confuse you, that is, with the abundant nature of the choices on hand. We like how many options are on the table, personally. It shows that they are willing to meet certain criterion that you are looking for, rather than basically shoehorning you into one particular area just because that is all they have.
Of course, these options may work to overwhelm some, which we also understand could be construed as a negative to some. One of the main things that you see with many of the newer Chinese tire companies is that they do not have a whole lot of time for research and developing new technologies. This is quite unfortunate, obviously, but it only makes sense. A new company is trying to get off the ground, so to speak, and it can only do that by staying on a certain path.
Usually they just produce the same kinds of tires with the same generally reliable tech as the past. With Linglong, though, you see a much bigger commitment to technology than with those types of brands. Linglong has been at the forefront of testing tires in the Chinese market, becoming the first company to open up labs in various areas in order to test things.
They have also won award from the Chinese government for innovating with new tire designs. Again, this not common with Chinese tire brands, as they are very ‘copycat’ in nature. The fact that they also have bases in the US for R&D also helps their case, and is deserving of mention and praise from us.
LingLong Tire Durability
A website is not everything, but they don’t scrimp and save on that, leading you to believe that their research and development is going to pay off by giving you decent durability. No, we don’t believe these tires are going to last as long as the tippy-top companies in the world. But realistically, they were never going to given the low price they come in at, relatively speaking. So, durability is not awful and should not be something you are ultra concerned with in this case. They just won’t last you as long as some others on the market that have a bigger slice of the pie.

If we were going to recommend a Chinese tire company for you to buy from, this one would be among the top choices we would pull out. They have a lot going for them in terms of R&D, a rich history, and they have bases in the US. They are still offering fairly low priced goods, but they seem much more professional about themselves than many. That helps build trust, and it should be a boon for you as you consider these tires.
