Fuzion Tires Review 2022

Fuzion tires are considered to be Bridgestone’s budget tires. While they don’t necessarily focus on performance and/or style, these tires are the ultimate budget tire. If you’re on a strict budget for a replacement tire, the Fuzion tires are your best option. Keep in mind that they will lack both style and the usual functionalities that you would experience in high-performance tires. They might not be the most appealing to the eye, but they’ll get the job done for you and your car at a reasonable cost!

Fuzion Tire Company Information & Background

The Fuzion brand is a subsidiary owned by Bridgestone.

Bridgestone is a Japanese owned trucks and auto manufacturer that has been widely considered to be the world’s largest tire manufacturer as of the past few years. In 1930 they were founded by Shojiro Ishibashi, and ultimately purchased the Firestone Tire company sixty years later in the early 1990’s. Upon merging, the company located in the United States became legally known as: “Bridgestone Firestone North American Holdings.

Based on this company’s history, it goes without saying that their primary mission is to provide consumers of all budget levels a quality tire that will help them get from point A to point B. While Bridgestone manufacturer’s its tires in the U.S.; focusing on a high quality, premium tire, their Fuzion tires are made in China and exported to the U.S. In result, Fuzion brand tires are better known for their low price instead of their quality.

Fuzion Tire Cost & Pricing

Fuzion tires are one of the best options if you’re on a tight budget and are unable to purchase something considered high end. Instead of spending a bulk of your money on premium tires, you could just throw on the Fuzion tires and your need for standard mobility will be solved. Fuzion’s biggest value point is that you will get a competent tire for a fraction of the price that would pay for something else. If you aren’t really concerned about quality, and just need new tires, this brand will provide you the most value.

Depending on what model tire you are interested in, you could find a Fuzion tire for as low as $49 per tire, such as the Fuzion Touring tire. If you need a full set of tires, $200 for all four isn’t that bad, especially when some of the more premium brands in the market ask for $200 for each tire!

Fuzion Warranty

Fuzion generally offers a 55,000 mile warranty for its tires. Initially considering the mileage, this isn’t necessarily the best warranty out there, especially since Fuzion is considered a budget replacement tire that won’t last you long term anyway. The good news is that the Fuzion brand offers a 55,000 mile tread or 5-year warranty on all T-speed rated tires, and a 5 year/40,000 mile warranty on the V & H-speed rated models.

This warranty essentially states that if your tread wears down within the initial 55,000 miles, or five years (whichever comes first), you’ll be able to get a new tire at no cost, including workmanship and materials. With that being said, this isn’t the worst warranty option available in the market, the bigger issue is that you will likely have to leverage this warranty due to the lack of quality in the tire.

Tire Options

Luckily for those out there in need of a low-budget tire, Fuzion has options for all different types of vehicles, big or small. Fuzion offers All-Season tires, as well as Touring tires that fit better for sedan cars such as the Nissan Altima or Honda Civic. Essentially, there are three types of tires that are available in a variety of different sizes: an SUV/Crossover tire, the Standard everyday Touring tire, and finally, the High Performance Touring tire. This group of vehicles offer enough options to the consumer so that they can find what works best for them and their car.

It’s also worth mentioning that the small group of tire sizes available offer different types of models. While the tire’s concept and compatibilities stay the same (ie. SUV tire), there are different model types that come out that are slightly more advanced than their predecessor.

As far as size options are concerned, some models offer a handful of sizes, whereas other sizes only offer a couple of sizes at most. Fuzion’s ZRi tire is available in sizes 16”-20”, while models such as the UHP can only be found in 17” and 18”. Overall, this brand is compatible with a few different types of vehicle, it just doesn’t have a wide variety of sizes available for purchase.

Fuzion Tire Technologies & Features

Don’t let the low price fool you: Fuzion tires are equipped with features that will make them worthwhile, regardless of how long they last. You could expect a twin-steel base belt construction within the tire that will be reinforced with a nylon cap ply that keeps the tire as strong as possible regardless of what terrain you will be driving in. While Fuzion has done their best to offer consumers with similar technology as premium tires, its mission to provide price-aware buyers with the best tire possible has put them behind in the race.

These inexpensive tires will be able to keep your car moving throughout all seasons, however they won’t have the stylish appeal that other brands in this category will offer. Some models, such as the Fuzion UHP Sport A-S tires will replicate the design of other premium tires in the market, although they won’t be able to keep up with the premium performance offered elsewhere.

In terms of handling, these tires have grooves implemented in them which prevents slipping by eliminating water so that it doesn’t stay within the tire; allowing the tire print to stay dry at all times. With that being said, you’ll have good handling when using these tires, regardless if you end up in rainy or snow-ridden weather.

Fuzion Tire Durability & Longevity

Durability & longevity are two things you typically sacrifice when it comes to a low-budget tire. For the Fuzion tires it’s no different. The tire is made with decent quality, however most drivers have claimed that their Fuzion tires were unable to last longer than a year if they were lucky. The comfort is also considered to be average at best, as sometimes drivers have said they’ve felt slight shaking against mediocre road conditions when using these tires.

Since Fuzion’s warranty covers within 5 years or 55,000 miles, you could anticipate the tread to wear down tremendously within those first 55,000 miles. Luckily for the buyer, if you do notice that your tread is wearing off, you could go back to the manufacturer and get a new pair. It ultimately depends on how frequently you use your vehicle and what type of roads you are driving on. Do most of the roads you’re driving on daily have potholes and other abrasive material that could potentially puncture your tire? If so, Fuzion won’t be able to take the beating after a certain window of time.

Summary & Overall Thoughts

When considering the Fuzion tire, one must decide what they value more: quality of the product or the monetary value. Say you’re just looking for a low cost tire that will get you where you need to go. At that point, you should go for the Fuzion tire. While not made with premium quality material, the tire still has some value with what it’s constructed with. In addition, you won’t have to lose a leg and an arm just to equip your car with something new.

Even though these tires are manufactured in China, you can still get a good amount of driving done before having to replace them again. Sure, the longevity won’t be very long, unlikely to last longer than a year for the average driver. That may be a concern to some potential buyers, but ultimately you need to understand that the old adage “you get what you pay for” most definitely applies to the Fuzion tires.

No matter whether you have a crossover vehicle or need some low cost touring tires, Fuzion will provide you with the best options when it comes to cost. If you’re a stickler for quality, these might not be best for you as they aren’t guaranteed to last beyond 30K-55K miles without losing tread and damaging the sidewall.

At the end of the day, Bridgestone’s Fuzion brand has been declared as their budget tire that will serve those looking for a low cost tire that will last them within a year, or hopefully more if you drive conservatively. If you take the good with the bad, these tires could help you get to where you need to without any issues!
